Toward the end of his life, his work turned to deeply personal, metaphysical questions concerning the nature of God. Eleven novels and short stories have been adapted to film, notably Blade Runner (based on Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? ), Total Recall, Minority Report, and A Scanner Darkly. The recipient of critical acclaim and numerous awards throughout his career, Dick was inducted into the Science Fiction Hall of Fame in 2005, and in 2007 the Library of America published a selection of his novels in three volumes. The following is a personality profile of Philip K Dick based on his work.
Philip K Dick is boisterous.
He is intermittent, he has a hard time sticking with difficult tasks for a long period of time. He is laid-back as well: he appreciates a relaxed pace in life. But, Philip K Dick is also unconcerned with art: he is less concerned with artistic or creative activities than most people who participated in our surveys.
More than most people, his choices are driven by a desire for discovery.
Considers helping others to guide a large part of what he does: he thinks it is important to take care of the people around him. He is also relatively unconcerned with tradition: he cares more about making his own path than following what others have done.
