Kitty Burns Florey

Kitty Burns Florey is the author of twelve novels as well as many essays and short stories. She is best known for her two offbeat works of nonfiction, Sister Bernadette's Barking Dog: The Quirky History and Lost Art of Diagramming Sentences and Script and Scribble: The Rise and Fall of Handwriting, and for the novels Souvenir of Cold Springs and Solos. Born in Syracuse, she has lived in Boston, Brooklyn, and New Haven.
