Waiting for Godot

Show Synopsis

"Waiting for Godot" has become one of the most important and enigmatic plays of the past 50 years and a cornerstone of 20th-century drama. The story revolves around two seemingly homeless men waiting for someone--or something--named Godot. The result is a comical wordplay of poetry, dreamscapes, and nonsense, which has been interpreted as mankind's inexhaustible search for meaning.

Perhaps this work has been so emulated that the contents seem cliched. I don't know.

I've had all the depressive existentialism I can stomache.

I got on to this play through reading R.D. Laing's psychiatric treatise "The Divided Self". I don't think he meant it literally although Becket might have, within the same context.

Taking a Rorshach test would probably be more rewarding.
