refreshing read

I was on vacation and read all of the books that I brought. I went to the local library "book sale" but there were few novels available. I saw this book but had little hope as I do not enjoy love stories per se. However, I found it very refreshing. The author has a sense of humor but can evoke suspense. There is also a mix of interesting characters and situations that keep the story flowing.
When I returned home, I logged into Alibris and ordered the remainder of the Amanda Quick books online and wasn't disappoined.
