Classic classical

Quality of the book itself was as advertised--very good.

If you are new to Classic Christian Education (CCE) this is a superb text. There is a good introduction to CCE. The tour-de-force rests in the extensive reference lists and application of CCE principles.

The mother daughter team compliment each other.

Must buy for the home educator.

The Well-Trained Mind

I have been involved in homeschooling for nearly 20 years both as a homeschool mom and as one who trains parents to homeschool their kids, who teaches homeschool classes and activities to kids preK to college, and a group leader.

THE WELL-TRAINED MIND :A GUIDE TO CLASSICAL EDUCATION AT HOME has been the backbone of my work. I have seen amazing results from even the kids from inner city single parent homes who I have volunteered with when using this method. This is REAL education that leads to students who can read, write, think, and have a higher knowledge of science, history and math as well as be well-versed in art and music.

While many parents choose the workbook approach or the funsy wunsy approach, this book shows you how to really EDUCATE children from 1st grade to 12th grade and develop a lifelong learner who literally can take a bunch of CLEP and DANTES/DSST tests and test out of the first two years of college.

If you want for your child to be prepared academically for the big leagues, you'll want this book.
