The Tightrope Walker

This is a wonderful story that embodies the essence of Dorothy Gilman's best work. It offers an appealing lead character in a crackerjack mystery search in which she ends up finding not only the answer but herself in the bargain. The book exudes a remarkable sense of hopefulness and charm. I genuinely felt sorry to reach the last page.
