The Sandlot is sparsely narrated by the main character (now an adult) who occasionally drops in on the action to comment on events or help move the story along. Great family film for everyone!

Sandlot is a story told by Scotty Smalls as he thinks back to his "good old days" youth at the neighborhood sandlot. The story is wonderful as all the characters have uniquely different personalities that blend to make the story come alive. The movie presents a heart-warming glance at a less complicated time. Sandlot identifies a time where neighborhood kids all had their different rights of passage growing up. It identifies with an era where kids played a sport just because they loved to. An era where you didn't need $100 uniforms, a travel baseball team, the best field or equipment to play the great American pass time. It tells of a time where there were neighborhood legends and heroes. It is truly a movie for everyone. Young ones will watch this movie and enjoy the characters and the story. Adults will watch this movie and relate to many scenes... a trip to the amusement park, the neighborhood pool, camping out, the corner drug store and more. It is also a story that shows how some stories tend to get exaggerated over time!
