Patterns of History Help Understand Today

A great little book outlining historical trends relative to morals, economics, socialism, wars, economics, etc. Although this book was published in 1968, the reader can see many of the trends today: where we have been and where we are going. The background and insight of the Pulitzer Prize winning authors shows through.

Durants' summary

Written in lieu of sending out a corrections list of their Story of Civilization series, the Durants are always good reading, and this is a quick one.
The gentlest of philosophers and the best writer of history in, uh history, Will Durant structures, his wife Ariel debates, and the two of them create a nice epilogue to over fifty years of writing together.
