touching the outer limits of the human spirit

I found the film beautiful and devastating, crushing and inspiring.

A major French journalist experiences a massive stroke while driving.

The film takes you inside the mind of the man. His thought process has not been diminished. He can see and hear. He can imagine and make imaginative connections. And he is helped to find and employ his one means of communication. It also reveals all the little ways that professional healers and care-givers fail to attend to him and his true situation.

It was filmed in French with English subtitles.
