Show Synopsis

Nick Naylor is just a regular guy trying to earn a living. In these neo-puritanical times, it's a challenge to defend the rights of smokers and a privilege to promote their liberty. Lots of laughs

If you want to laugh a lot, and possibly find new reasons to quit smoking, read this book.
It is better than the movie, and chock full of
sarcasm and irony.

Buckley Does It Again

Christopher Buckley is one of the best authors of political satire that has ever put pen to paper. This one is right up there with "Little Green Men" and "Wry Martinis", and it is as politically incorrect as the title. Buckley weaves a hilarious tale of boardroom politics and PR damage-control in the tobacco industry. Buckley's characters are, as always, complicated, interesting, and a little eccecntric, if not down right neurotic. Along with the clever humor, Buckley provides suspense, conspiracy, drama, and just enough sex to peak your interest. You won't be disappointed. And, by the way, the movie didn't even begin to match the book's appeal. As it is often said, "Never judge a book by it's movie". That is certainly true here!
