Handbook for health

This is a great book, if you are serious about building up your body, as it illustrates all various parts of the anatomy. A blueprint of the human body, The owner's Manual needed for the maintenance plan we all need, to get in or stay in shape.

A delight for the anatomist

I loved this book and all the other books by Frederic Delavier, not only for the superb and unique illustrations he brings to the study of anatomy but also for the fascinating insights and rare details on anatomy and physiology, especially the warnings on how to correctly perform the exercises described without hurting yourself.
To a woman I would also recommend by the same author: Women's Strength Training Anatomy"

Worth Owning if you want to lift weights

This is a great book for what it is. You won't find any workout routines, nothing about diets, and there is nothing about cardio. What this book is though is a great resource for specific resistance exercises and the muscles that those exercises work. A worthy addition to the library of anyone who wants to know how to work out better.
