Beats T.V.

This book is good old fasnioned melodrama, but for light reading when you just want to enjoy a good yarn rather than grapple with heavy, philisophical realism it does the trick. Jerimish Lawley is a once spoiled brat of aristocratic British parents who is orphaned and sold into slavery. Through overcoming adversity she becomes a lovable and beautiful heroine who touches many lives for good. . And of course there are several bad people to bring to justice. A fun read.
