Graphic Novel On DVD

TITLE: Sin City
GENRE: Big Cast Dectective fantasy (Three related crime stories in one telling)
CAST: Bruce Willis, Mickey Rourke, Jaime King, Elijah Wood, Clive Owen, Jessica Alba, Benicio del Toro, Powers Boothe, Michael Clarke Duncan, Carla Gugino, Brittany Murphy, Rutger Hauer and Michael Madsen
PLOT:No central plot here. The film is done to bring three or four of Frank Miller's Basin City dark graphic stories to life.
RETURN ON INVESTMENT: 9 of 10; This really seems like your reading the graphic novel without having to read. Much of the development of the story is done with using just a graphic image and having the actor overdub the dialogue just like a comic balloon. With so many characters, that aspect of development and identification is lagging. This is darkly what ther original TV Batman show would look like if it was done by Tim Burton and without the Wham and Pows. But it did have Quentin Tarantino as one of the Directors so the violence is abundantly presented. It is mostly in Black and White with some color added as highlights to assist in putting you into that world of Sin City,
DVD BONUS: A behind the scenes and making of documentary
ADDED NOTES: Not for the weak of stomach when it comes to depictions of gore.
