Decked out with leftover sets and stock footage from 1946's Bandit of Sherwood Forest, Columbia's Rogues of Sherwood Forest stars John Derek as the son of legendary do-gooder Robin Hood. When King John (George Macready) revives his old cycle of taxation and repression, Robin Jr. summons forth his father's Merry Men and inaugurates a rebel movement. rogues of sherwood forest

John derek and his cast of rogues are magnificent. The story takes place in King richard the lionhearted's time when england is being robbed the prince john, the regent who is the brother of richard.While richard is away in the holy land, the people of england are being taken advantage thru excessive taxation and rules of no hunting in the forest. John derek leads a band of men in righting some wrongs and winds up as a hero.
