Adapted from the "Destroyer" series of novels and comic books (not exactly the level of Ian Fleming), Remo Williams (Fred Ward) is a New York cop who works for a top-secret government agency accountable directly to the President of the U.S. After his reluctant induction into this agency, Remo is trained in a near-magical Korean martial arts form by Chiun (Joel Grey) in great sequences where walking on water is taken in stride. You won't find this gem in Netflix' offerings...

I'm still waiting for the adventure to continue! Purchased this copy because Netflix doesn't carry it and I missed watching it. Action-adventure loaded with humor, satisfies to the nth... Hadn't seen it in at least a decade, and it's held up well, only "datable" elements: scene sequenced @ Statue of Liberty captured the moment in time when the Statue was being refurbished; no observable CGI; and there's no on-screen use of mobile phones or laptop/pad devices--which was a welcome part of the story.
