A historical perspective

Mr. Johnson provides a straight-from-the-shoulder account of world history and the Catholic church's role in it. It is very readable without being overly scholarly, yet the reader can tell it is well-researched.
Mr. Johnson writes without preaching and tells a great story with a myriad of detail and interesting facts to support it.
