The fourth book written for Olympia by the mysterious Robert Desmond, Heaven, Hell and the Whore is the tale of Pilar, a woman of experience, who recounts her life to young David, a somewhat repressed admirer of Victoria, Pilar's daughter. Through her tellings and retellings, we learn just how experienced Pilar really is, thanks to a childhood in Spain where her parents gave up the girl to the local lord in lieu of rent, and the many travels and erotic adventures which followed.
