New Ghosts Since Last We Saw The Team

TITLE: Ghostbusters 2
GENRE: SciFi/Fantasy supernatural near term
CAST: Bill Murray, Sig Weaver, Dan Aykroyd, Har Ramis, Ric Moranis, Ann Potts, Ern Hudson and Peter MacNicol
PLOT: Evil returns and this time we learn that there is good slime and bad slime. An entity from the past is lining up the ingredients for his return to rule all mankind. His power is manifested in bd slime. After some lab experiments our heroes learn how to harness the good slime. The Battle Royale again takes place in NYC and again requires the help from a larger than life being.
RETURN ON INVASTMENT: 9 of 10; Everything is the same as last smash hit, or is it? No a lot of the music is different which with Aykroyd's involvement you wonder how could it go that wrong? The addition of MacNicol is wonderful and his portrayal as a disfunctional character is at times grating but overall brilliant and inovative.
DVD BONUS: None, they got most of it on the first one.
ADDED NOTES: Since there is a child involved in this one, it would be interesting to take the franchise way over the top and do a true SciFi depiction of the 2nd or even 3rd generation team in action (oops, can I get a cut of revenues for that idea?)
