Very thorough but not boring

Jordan's clear prose is awesome for a historical overview. So much information is packed into every chapter, but it's incredibly easy to read and never feels overwhelming. Whether its used as a supplementary textbook or just reading for enjoyment, this is a great resource for this time period.
