Great read for toxic personalities

This is a great read. While I don't buy into the evolutionary explanations, the book does a great job at explaining toxic behaviors and the value of changing how we think, perceive things, events, etc. How often do we interact with people who always see the world in the negative light, no matter the circumstances? How many of us interact with people who are controlled by their emotions? This book is a great read for anyone looking to understand emotions better.

A Must for MH Pros

I am a mental health counselor and I would recommend this book for the library of all practitioners in the field. I regard Goleman's work as foundational.

Emotional Intelligence

Great source for compelling research on our emotions, how and why they work, and the brain's function in all of this.

An Essential Book

This book is an essential read for anyone interested in human relationships.
In it Daniel Goleman tells the reader about the skills and qualities we all need to get along with other people. His work is backed up with solid research and good science.
The book is written in an engaging style .
Hopefully Mr. Goleman will present us with a new edition based on new research .
