A Comprehensive Guide to Saints

Dictionary of Saints is a concise yet comprehensive reference work portraying the lives of some five thousands saints from the past two thousand years. More famous saints have longer articles and lesser known saints have shorter articles. The appendix features information on the saints as patrons and intercessors, as patrons of countries and places, their symbols in art, a chronological chart of popes and world rulers, and the ecclesiastical calendars of the Roman Catholic Church and the Byzantine Church. Both the scholar and general reader will find this to be an informative and useful book. I have made it a goal to read a few pages of this book each day during Lent and hopefully gain a deeper understanding of the saints and how their lives can be an inspiration to us in the modern era.

Beautiful Dictionary of Saints book

this is a must have book that everyone should have in their Catholic Library for reference, for study, and as a great resource to use on a daily basis - particularly with the traditional liturgical calendar! I highly recommend it.
